Hi! My name is Isaac Würmann and I’m a freelance writer and audio producer.

I recently finished working on a podcast about gay sex and a multimedia project about the history of the building where I live. I regularly write for a website called Gay Iceland, and I’m also a co-host of a new podcast called How Did We Get Queer!

I’ve interviewed drag queens and prime ministers, and I’ve told stories about bike lanes and the Sixties Scoop. I have a deep love of libraries, and my reporting practice is guided by a community development approach borrowed from the idea of community development librarianship. I even did a TEDx talk a few years back about why we should be building bigger libraries instead of bigger prisons.

You can find me working from home in Winnipeg, Canada or on my friends’ couches around the world. In my spare time you can find me walking, learning German, or reading a good book.
